East of India was founded in 1991 by John Ayris and Anne Spratling. They offer gorgeous handmade original and charming gifts for you or your loved ones. The products are designed by the in-house team in Folkstone and traditionally made by skilled artisans from around the world using wood, paper and other natural materials found in their villages, thus enabling the artisans to earn a living using traditional skills passed down through generations.
